‘Takhti, the World Champion’ has invited audiences to help flooded people of Iranian Golestan province.
The cast and crew of the flick which is currently on the silver screen in Iran have called for helping the flooded people who have lost their homes and property.
The flood has devastated the residents of some Northern provinces of Iran destroying their homes and their properties. A number of locals have lost their lives during this natural disaster too. May their souls rest in peace.
Tavakkoli’s film had its premiere as a contestant at the 37th Fajr Film Festival in Iran. The film, in fact, had 11 nominations at the film event and succeeded to win two Crystal Simorghs in two categories which were the Best Cinematography and the Best Set Design.
The biographical film depicts the Iranian world champion’s life from cradle to grave. The project is shot in three phases to show the hero’s childhood, teenagehood and adulthood.
Mahour Alvand, Atila Pesyani, Behnoush Tabatabaee, Hamid-Reza Azarang, Setareh Pesyani, and Siavash Tahmoures are among the cast members of the film.
